It's coming. Hammond's been getting his little hamster paws on the first gen Corvette. You know what this means.
They're gonna review it, stig lap it, or both.
And of course Hammond's going to deny whatever Clarkson says is wrong with it.
I just hope Hammond is the one that does the review, since he's a secret American and all that.
I can't wait.

Gotta say... I was kinda hoping Jeremy would be the one to drive the C7... I wanted to see his reaction to how good the new 'Vette is. If I remember correctly, he kinda liked the Zo6, and the ZR1 a bit more than that, so I think he might really like the C7, now that the interior is better, and it's performance level took a big leap.

Good point. Upon retrospect, Clarkson would be the best man for the job.

C1 Corvette always seems way too large to me. Especially that gaping mouth. And wikipedia says critic response was also 'mixed' back in the day, which is a euphemism for 'they liked some aspects but it was deeply flawed'.

I'm surprised. I was convinced that TGUK was going to conveniently ignore that the C7 Corvette existed, lest they accidentally say good things about an American car.
Of course, I totally expect that the review will end with the $50k sports car being compared to some $250k supercar.

Excellent, I hope it destroys the lap board.
Saw it on TG-USA last night (DVR) and it looked pretty awesome.

You what though? I'm totally OK with them comparing it to a $250k sports car. Because then, even if they say it isn't as good, it means you have to go multiple times up the price scale to reach something similar.
